Membership Information
The Illinois Lacrosse League (ILL) is the leading girls lacrosse league in the state of Illinois focused on growth of youth female athletes. Our member clubs share a collective commitment to competitive excellence, holistic player development, and the advancement of the female game in the state.
Membership Strategy & Commitment: Membership in the ILL represents more than participation in a league; it reflects a commitment to the ILL’s mission of elevating standards across all aspects and the growth of the sport of girls lacrosse in Illinois.
Member clubs are expected to:
– Field teams in all required age groups (U8–U14).
– Compete in all scheduled events.
– Operate with integrity, professionalism, and respect.
– Support the long-term growth and sustainability of their region through collaboration and compliance.
Application Timeline: The 2026 New Membership Application Window is open now and will remain open through February 1st, 2026.
Application Process: The process is designed to be transparent, consistent, and thorough, ensuring a fair evaluation of each prospective club.
The ILL’s membership review includes a multi-step process that allows for flexibility based on each club’s profile.
– Initial Submission: Clubs provide organizational details, leadership contacts, geographic footprint, and anticipated full teams.
– Follow-Up Review: Selected clubs may be asked to share additional information, such as infrastructure, staffing, and player development structure.
– Membership Discussion: Candidates will be reviewed by the Board of Directors to discuss prospective club’s alignment with the league’s mission and long-term partnership potential.
